Star Bass X ZZ Top Elwood Francis

In the late 1960s our company introduced a very futuristic design to the world. The Jolana Star X was born.  As the leading American magazine  “Premier Guitar” once wrote in a review about an old model, the Star X was a “6-String fit for Yuri Gagarin”.

More than 50 years later, we decided to reissue this breathtaking design with modern updates. The first prototypes went to legendary Billy F. Gibbons and Elwood Francis of ZZ Top. Both liked the instruments so much that they decided to use them for the bands European tour. Since that day the Jolana Star X Guitar and Bass have become a staple in the ZZ Tops live rig.
